The Mighty Start by Amanjeet Singh

The taller the building the deeper is the foundation. Same can be said for individual personalities. Our Gurus who served as excellent examples for us hundreds of years ago (and today too) were men of deep personality & character. At the Mighty Khalsa the loving hands of Phenji cobined with the firmness of the Veerji’s with guidance of Guruji and almighty, foundations are laid to build stronger.

Love is something that comes naturally to children. Guru Maharaj was welcomed to the tune of Satnam Waheguru. The fierce Singhs lent their roars and the princess’ lent their sweetness to the melody. A little later on the young hearts sang during Nishan Sahib Selami. Day Zero was also started of excellently as there they were very obedient while Parkash was conducted.

A little later, the young ones were introduced to their jathas and had a little ice breaking session. The Phenjis and Veerjis made things interesting with fun activities that included finding out each other’s names and hobbies. It was a really enjoyable event as the mighties had a chance to jump about and release some energy.

The last session of the day was an IPS session in the Mighties’s Darbar Sahib. An enchanting Naam Simran session followed by Kirtan and Sakhi was just enough to put the young soldiers in the mood to sleep. To make sure that the Mighties were indeed going to be put back to sleep, they had some cold Milo.

Overall, they had an excellent day to start off Samelan and would defiantly be looking forward for Day 1 (22/12/08) as much as their loving Phenjis and Veerjis 
